What began as a way to improve my flexibility through sport gradually revealed something deeper—the importance of connecting my mind and body. With a mindset that tends to be results-driven and more traditionally masculine, yoga has offered me a way to ground myself, tune into the present moment, and truly feel into my body.
There are times when pushing yourself is necessary, but it’s equally important to embrace stillness—to allow for moments of so-called laziness and step into your feminine energy.
After completing two yoga teacher trainings, I now step onto my mat every day, whether it’s for one minute or an hour, simply to check in. I ask myself: is life still offering me inspiration, growth, challenge—and, most importantly, joy?
